Information about road closures
Openreach – Temporary Road Closure – Hunt Street – 7th April 2026 (Maidstone District)
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Hunt Street, from 7th April 2026 with estimated completion by 8th April 2026.
Hunt Street, will be closed approximately 110 metres East of the junction with Bow Hill, for a distance approximately 100 metres in an East direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hunt Street, Bow Hill, Bow Bridge, B2015 Bow Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2163 Teston Lane, B2010 Lower Road, B2010 Smiths Hill, Hunt Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.

OPENREACH LIMITED – Temporary Road Closure – Hampstead Lane, Nettlestead – 19th April 2026 (Maidstone District)
Due to works planned to be undertaken by OPENREACH LIMITED, it will be necessary to close part of Hampstead Lane, Nettlestead, from 19th April 2026 with estimated completion by 19th April 2026.
Hampstead Lane, Nettlestead, will be closed in the vicinity of Orchard Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2015 Maidstone Road, Maidstone Road Roundabout, A228 Hale Street By Pass, A228 Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, A228 Branbridges Road, Beltring Road, Gravelly Ways, Lees Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane and vice versa.

Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd – Temporary Road Closure – Bow Bridge, Nettlestead – 26th April 2026 (Maidstone District)
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, it will be necessary to close part of Bow Bridge, Nettlestead, from 26th April 2026 with estimated completion by 26th April 2026.
Bow Bridge, Nettlestead, will be closed 20 metres either side of Wateringbury Level Crossing, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bow Bridge, B2015 Maidstone Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2162 Benover Road, B2010 High Street, B2010 Yalding Hill, Kenward Road, Bow Hill, Bow Bridge and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow rail crossing maintenance works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
