Temporary Road Closure – B2162 Hampstead Lane, Yalding – 9th September

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, it will be necessary to close part of B2162 Hampstead Lane, Yalding, from 9th September 2026 with estimated completion by 10th September 2026.

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, it will be necessary to close part of B2162 Hampstead Lane, Yalding, from 9th September 2026 with estimated completion by 10th September 2026.

B2162 Hampstead LaneYalding, will be closed 20 metres either side of Hampstead Lane level crossing, between the hours of 23:00 and 04:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Hampstead Lane, Lees Road, Gravelly Ways, Beltring Road, A228 Branbridges Road, A228 Whetsted Road Roundabout, A228 Branbridges Road, A228 Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, A228 Hale Street By Pass, A228 Maidstone Road Roundabout, B2015 Maidstone Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow level crossing tamping works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
